For parents
What our games (Don't Trust Arrows, Hold the Line, Trust No Floor, Golem Getaway) do and do not do when a child plays. We treat everyone under 18 as a child, as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act does.
The short version
- No personal data from children reaches us. No player is created, nothing is uploaded, and online leaderboards are hidden.
- Ads are optional reward videos only, and only if the player taps "Watch an ad": never during play, no banners and no pop-ups. For under-18s and unknown age, every ad request is marked child-directed or under the age of consent, is not personalised and asks for ads rated for all ages. No analytics or tracking SDK.
- No chat, no free text, no friends lists, no way to contact other players.
- No in-app purchases. Everything is earned by playing and has no real-world value.
- No location permission. The advertising ID is read only by Google's ad software for those marked ad requests, never by our server.
How the age screen works
The first time the game opens, it asks for a birth year from a list. No year is preselected, there is no “I’m over 18” button, and nothing hints at a right answer. The answer is stored only on the phone and never sent to us. Until it is answered, the game treats the player as a child.
The answer can be changed at any time in Settings → Privacy. If your child entered an adult birth year, change it there; online features switch off for players under 18.
Optional ads
Every game can offer a short reward video from Google AdMob, but only when play has stopped and only if the player taps “Watch an ad”. “No thanks” is always there and just as easy to tap, there is at most one ad per run or level attempt, at least 3 minutes between ads and at most 8 a day, and every game can be finished without watching any. Copy is kid-safe: no “free”, no countdowns and no pressure.
For players under 18 and players who haven’t answered the age question, every ad request is marked child-directed (under 13 and unknown age) or under the age of consent (13 to 17), asks for non-personalised ads only and for ads rated for all ages (G), and Google’s consent form is not shown. An ad request still carries technical details such as the IP address and device identifiers to Google, which handles them under its rules for children’s apps. If you don’t want that, make sure “Watch an ad” is not tapped: no ad plays without it. Where each game offers ads:
- Don't Trust Arrows: an extra heart after you run out, or double coins on the win card.
- Hold the Line: a revive when your squad is wiped out, or double coins on the results screen.
- Trust No Floor: extra help after several bonks on a stage, or double coins when you clear a room.
- Golem Getaway: a second chance on the "Keep running?" card, or double coins on the results screen.
What each game handles for a child
Nothing from a child is stored on our server. What stays on the phone:
Don't Trust Arrows
Made for players of all ages, including children.
- Game progress: levels completed, stars, death counts, best times, and Daily Troll, Daily Double, Troll Tower and Weekly Gauntlet results.
- In-game items and rewards: Troll Tokens (an in-game currency earned by playing that cannot be bought), boosters, hints, chests, skin shards, unlocked cosmetics, Troll Pass progress, missions, achievements, album cards, streaks and player level.
- Your profile: the nickname you choose (optional), your equipped avatar, frame and title, and lifetime stats such as total play time. The nickname never leaves your device. Online leaderboards use a generated name instead.
- Settings, including whether reminders are on.
Delete it with Settings → Reset progress, by clearing the app’s storage, or by uninstalling. Reminders are local to the phone, off until allowed, and for under-18s only gentle ones (no streak pressure or come-back nudges), never with ads.

Every player’s game also checks our server for settings and updates. The update check carries a random install ID created by the update plugin, and every request carries the phone’s IP address. We use them only to pick the right update, answer the request and prevent abuse, and we store neither: they are dropped from memory when the request is done (the IP address after a rate-limit window of up to 10 minutes) and never written to our database or logs. Optional ad requests go to Google, not to us, as described above.
