Data deletion
Delete your Hold the Line online data
For the Android app Hold the Line (package com.holdtheline.game). Updated .
What is on our server
Our server only holds data for players aged 18 or over who switched on online leaderboards. If you are under 18, or never switched leaderboards on, there is nothing about you on our server to delete.
For adults with leaderboards on, deleting your online data removes:
- your random player ID and generated display name;
- your platform, app version and the created and last-seen times;
- all your scores on every leaderboard (daily, weekly and all-time).
Nothing is kept afterwards. Copies in our database backups disappear within 7 days. Our server logs are kept for one year, but they never contain player data or IP addresses. We never stored your name, email or any device or advertising ID.
Ads data is held by Google, not by us
If you watched any of the optional reward videos, the ad request data (such as your IP address, device identifiers and the advertising ID) went to Google AdMob, not to our server. We never receive it, so we cannot look it up or delete it. Google is responsible for it as an independent controller. To control it:
- Reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some phones, Settings → Google → Ads) (Google’s help).
- Manage how Google uses data for ads in My Ad Center.
- Ask Google to access or delete data it holds, as Google’s privacy policy explains.
- In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland: change your ad consent choice in Hold the Line under Settings → Privacy → Ad choices.
- To stop new ad requests, simply don't tap "Watch an ad".
Option 1: in the game (fastest)
- Connect your phone to the internet.
- Open Hold the Line and go to Settings → Privacy.
- Tap Delete my online data and confirm.
Your player and all its scores are deleted from our server straight away, and the player ID and token are removed from your phone. If you are offline, the game tells you to try again once you are connected. If you play again with leaderboards on, a brand-new anonymous player is created.
Option 2: by email
Email support@callmissed.com with the subject “Delete my data: Hold the Line” and your player ID, which is shown in the game under Settings → Privacy. Parents can send the request for their child.
We delete the player and all its scores and confirm by email within 30 days, usually much sooner. We do not need any other information from you, and we use your email address only to handle and record the request.
Data on your phone
Your game progress and settings are stored only on your phone. To delete them, use Settings → Reset progress in the game, clear the app’s storage in Android settings, or uninstall the game. Reset progress does not delete your online data, so use one of the options above for that.
